Abstract
In this paper, an attempt was made to analyse the impact of SAP and related financial reform on SMEs. The experience of East Asian economies has shown that Governments can intervene successfully in financial markets by creating financial institutions and directing credit in ways that promote both economic stability and growth. Other developing countries can draw useful lessons from the East Asia experience.
