Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyse the output performance/trends of selected non-oil products with a view to identifying constraints to further improvement and suggesting measures for strengthening the prevailing policies designed to stimulate growth in their production and enhance general economic development. The rest of the paper is organised into four sections. Section II contains a review of the literature on the production of some non oil products. Analysis of production trends of selected non-oil products is undertaken in section Section III. Section IV is devoted to discussion of some identified factors underlying the observed trends of production of non-oil products. Concluding remarks and 9mmendations are made in section v.
